Secret Wild Life in Cheung Chau

Group Information

  In our project, we will introduce the interesting eco tour at Cheung Chau to local citizens and visitors. Under the promotion by Hong Kong Tourism Board, over 70 thousands visitors came to Cheung Chau within Bun Festival period. Cheung Chau are well known in traditional culture but the environmental side of Cheung Chau have not yet be discovered. There also is high biodiversity. For butterflies, there are about 230 species in Hong Kong. In Cheung Chau, it is recorded over 110 species which is nearly 50% of all records in Hong Kong. 9 of them are very rare in Hong Kong. Some of them are rare seen in other countries even they are only found in Cheung Chau.Thus, we will focus on introducing the unique animals, plants in Cheung Chau. In the East of Cheung Chau, Besides, citizens and visitors can learn more on the importance of environmental conservation.
